Availability is not permission
Nijii TV’s catalog process begins with a simple principle: finding a film or recording online does not establish the right to distribute it. Before a title is release-eligible, its catalog record must identify a rights basis and retain enough information for review.
Public-domain material
A public-domain claim is treated as a conclusion that requires support, not as a convenient label. Review can consider the source record, publication history, territory, renewal information, underlying works, music, adaptations and other facts relevant to the title. A title can remain pending, restricted or blocked when the basis is incomplete.
Creator-authorized submissions
Creators submitting their own work certify that they control or have obtained the distribution rights needed for Nijii TV. Submissions can include rights-holder information, territory limits, attribution requirements, permission records and other supporting material. False or incomplete certification can prevent or end publication.
Attribution and territory
Some works require attribution or apply only in particular territories. Nijii TV records those conditions so they can be honored in presentation and availability decisions. A title that is lawful in one location is not automatically cleared everywhere.
Music, performance and underlying works
Rights in a finished video do not always resolve the status of its music, screenplay, performance, artwork or other underlying material. Review fields keep those questions visible rather than silently treating them as settled.
Media and accessibility review
Release eligibility also considers whether the available media is suitable for viewers. Dialogue synchronization, audio quality and optional Enhanced Audio have human-review gates. Automated analysis may assist the process, but it does not certify creative or legal conclusions on its own.
